Marian Tribute scheduled for Sunday

This year’s Diocesan Marian Tribute will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, at St. Joseph Cathedral, 50 Franklin St., Buffalo. This special prayer service is to honor Mary, the Mother of Jesus.

Bishop Edward U. Kmiec, bishop of Buffalo, will preside at the service and Father Edward F. Jost Jr., pastor of St. Jude the Apostle Parish, North Tonawanda, will serve as the homilist.

The choir, under the direction of Daniel Tenerowicz, from SS. Peter and Paul Parish, Hamburg, will be featured. Banner bearers will be children from both St. Jude the Apostle Parish and St. Josaphat Parish, Cheektowaga.

The living rosary will include representatives from Holy Family Parish, Sanborn; Our Lady of Victory National Shrine, Lackawanna; Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish, Niagara Falls; and Holy Family Parish, Albion, and the Diocesan Legion of Mary.

This annual event is open to the public.
