St. Christopher Parish in Tonawanda is sponsoring a Summerfest 5K Race and One Mile Fun Walk on Saturday evening, July 31.

The race will begin in front of St. Christopher Church, 2660 Niagara Falls Blvd., at 6:30 p.m. The walk will begin immediately afterward. The best overall men’s and women’s finisher in the race will receive a $50 gift certificate to Fleet Feet Sports. The top three finishers in the 14 different men’s and women’s age groups will receive medals.

Registration for the race is $25 and closes one hour before the race. Walkers can register for $12, or a family of four or more for $40. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and no strollers, pets, wagons and roller blades are allowed on the 5K course.

Race packets can be picked up at St. Christopher Church today from 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.
