Iconography adds to beauty of faith with images

Sister Marcia Klawon, OSF, retired from her teaching in late May, but leaves a legacy of art behind.“I’ve been teaching icon painting since 2003,” Sister Marcia said. “The last class was a four-day class extended over two weeks. It takes approximately 25 hours to paint an icon.”

'Our Daily Bread' and Brothers of Mercy cook up a storm

It only makes sense to devote an entire “Our Daily Bread” show, hosted by Father Paul D. Seil, to the olive. On this show Father Seil prepares caponata, a Mediterranean style appetizer made from eggplant, olives, capers and a host of other delicious ingredients. Also on Father Seil’s menu are a bread dipping sauce and a creamy fig spread.

Christian brother looks back at 50 years of adventure and ministry

Looking back at 50 years of ministry, Brother Joseph Radice, FSC, has found being a part of the religious life has opened up a world of experiences for him.  From entering high school to meeting the president of the United States, his faith and relationship with the Christian Brothers proved to be door openers. In his autobiography, “Ticket to Heaven,” Brother Joseph recalls some of the ups and downs he has experienced in his 68 years.
