Through internships and one-on-one interactions with hospital personnel, students can learn about everything from emergency care to marketing. St. Francis High School in Athol Springs is returning to its roots as a boarding school by opening the third floor of Justin Hall to international students. The 12-room dormitory, open since September, currently houses 20 students, with room for six more. read more...
Jan23 Niagara Falls scouts earn their wings with Stations of the Cross projects

In Niagara Falls the 14 Stations of the Cross have become a pet project for some local teens. Two Boy Scouts earned their eagle badges with projects involving the depiction of Jesus Christ’s final hours.

The Catholic Education Division of the Diocese of Buffalo looked to Bishop Edward U. Kmiec’s motto of “Charity and Service” to decide how to honor him. In recognition of his golden jubilee of priesthood, young people of the diocese, from kindergarten to high school, will participate in a diocesanwide food drive labeled “Feed His Flock.” read more...

Oct14 Teen goes on backpacking retreat in New Mexico

This past summer I boarded a plane to Cimarron, N.M., (about two hours north of Santa Fe). I was in my Boy Scout uniform and on my way to the finest scout camp. As I tilted my head back on the seat I made one thing clear to myself: I wanted to learn more about my faith.
