3 Joes stop by 'Our Daily Bread'

I was looking at the calendar the other day and I came to realize that 2011 marks the 14th year we here at Daybreak TV Productions have been producing the cooking show, “Our Daily Bread.”
We have taped 135 episodes and eaten foods from nations all around the globe – Korea, Italy, Germany, Africa, Hungary, Ireland, France, Ukraine, the Holy Land, and we even devoured delicacies from our own backyard here in Western New York.
In the early years the show was hosted by Sister Barbara Ciarico, RSM, and Sister Bernadette O’Kulicz, FSSJ, each of whom brought their own style and flair to the show. Father Paul D. Seil came on board late in season four and by season seven he was sole host of “Our Daily Bread.”
For as long as I’ve known Father Seil, we have worked vigorously to put together a show that is fun, informative and interesting. Recently he came up with an idea that meets each of these elements. Twenty-five years ago, three men entered the priesthood. Three classmates all called by God, all gifted with the ability to cook, all friends with Father Seil and all named Joe. Who are these men; Father Joe Moreno, Father Joe Porpiglia and Father Joe Gullo.
Tune in to Our Daily Bread on Saturday, Sept. 10, at 5:30 a.m. and noon on WKBW-TV Ch. 7 to find out more on the class of Joes. On the menu is fettuccine alfredo sauce, sausage and grapes and a batch of pizzelles. You’ll have to watch the show to find out which Father Joe actually cooks each dish.
