Bishop Richard Malone will hold a pet blessing for the feast of St. Francis of Assisi on the front lawn of the bishop's residence in Buffalo.

Bishop Richard J. Malone will bless animals on the front lawn of his residence, 77 Oakland Place in Buffalo, at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, the day before the Feast of St. Francis.

The tradition of blessing animals, dogs, cats, birds and all other two-legged, four-legged and no-legged creatures, is conducted as a remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi's love for creation.

All animals are welcome.
