Traditionally in the Northeast, September is the time of year when people of all ages wave goodbye to summer and head back into the classroom. I would bet that, for most of us, youth ministry doesn't even enter our minds when we think about back-to-school. Yet, just like teachers, this is the time when youth ministers gear up to involve, engage and invite young people into the Church.
On this episode of "Our Daily Bread," host Father Paul D. Seil is in the kitchen with Jesse and Sarah Saltarelli, a young couple who have devoted their lives to youth ministry. Jesse works at St. Bernadette Parish in Orchard Park, and his wife Sarah ministers at Annunciation Parish in Elma. Together with Father Seil, they are in the kitchen cooking while they explain the importance of our Church connecting with today's youth.
